We will fight terror and win: BJYM President Tejasvi Surya
In a daring attack, ‘unidentified’ terrorists late Thursday evening opened indiscriminate firing on a moving car gunning down three Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) office-bearers in the Y.K Pora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
One of the slain BJP workers has been identified as Fida Hussain Yatoo, district General Secretary (youth wing), Kulgam while two others were office bearers of the youth wing of the party.
Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) President Tejasvi Surya and Member of Parliament for Bengaluru South Lok Sabha Constituency condemned the brutal killing of youth BJP workers in Kulgam.
J&K BJP Unit Chief Ravinder Raina tweeted, “Coward Pakistan Terrorists killed three
BJP youth workers in Kulgam(Kashmir).
In a tweet, he said, “With profound grief, I share news of the brutal murder of three BJYM karyakartas in Kulgam dist of J&K.” Sri Fida Hussain Yatoo, Umer Rashid Beigh & Umer Hajam are our martyred brothers. BJYM workers promise to not let their sacrifice go in vain. We will fight terror and win!
J&K BJP Unit Chief Ravinder Raina tweeted, “Coward Pakistan Terrorists killed three
BJP youth workers in Kulgam(Kashmir). They were dynamic BJYM workers and attained martyrdom for Bharat Mata, Coward Pakistani’s have to pay the heavy price of their sins.”
What happened on ground zero
According to the local police authorities, “The BJP workers were travelling in a private car when unidentified terrorists opened indiscriminate firing around 8.20 p.m in Y.K Pora of Kulgam, critically injuring them.”
Spokesman of the Jammu and Kashmir police in a written statement said, at about 8.20 p.m Kulgam police received information about a terror incident at Village Y.K Pora where terrorists had fired upon three BJP workers. “Preliminary investigation revealed that terrorists fired upon three BJP workers identified as Fida Hussain Yatoo son of Ghulam Ahmad Yatoo resident of Y.K Pora (BJP District Youth General secretary), Umer Rashid Beigh son of Abdul Rasheed Beigh resident of Sophat Devsar (BJP worker) and Umer Ramzan Hajam son of Mohd Ramzan resident of Y.K Pora (BJP worker) at Eidgah Y.K Pora due to which they got injured. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where they were declared as brought dead.”
Two former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti both condemned the killing of three BJP workers in Kulgam.
In recent months, over half a dozen BJP workers and their close relatives have been targeted by the terrorists in Kashmir valley. First of all, a Congress sarpanch from Anantnag, Ajay Pandita was also killed by the terrorists in the first week of June 2020
A month later, a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Waseem Bari and his father and brother were shot dead by the terrorists in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
In the month of August, two more BJP leaders Abdul Hamid Najar of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district and BJP Sarpanch Sajad Ahmad Khanday were shot dead by the terrorists. On September 23, BDC Chairman Khag Bhupinder Singh was killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Omar, Mehbooba condemned the killing of BJP workers
Two former Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti both condemned the killing of three BJP workers in Kulgam. In a separate tweet, Omar wrote, ” Terrible news from Kulgam district of South Kashmir. I unequivocally condemn the targeted killing of the three BJP workers in a terror attack.
Mehbooba Mufti also posted a tweet, Saddened to hear about the killing of three BJP workers in Kulgam. Condolences to their families. At the end of the day, it’s the people of J&K who pay with their lives because of GoI‘s ill-thought-out policies.”

Separatists, and people who still dream about the merger of Jammu Kashmir with Pakistan are behind these murders. The security forces and local administration must give full security and help to all families whose sons or daughters join armed forces. Abdullah Muftis know the state has changed and there is no way they can restore the previous special status of the state. We need to settle as many people from other parts of India in Jammu Kashmir and give them solid security. we may have to monitor phones from houses near the border as these are the people who may help infiltrations and protect these people also which is nothing but treason.
It’s time Gen. Bhagwat and his army relocated to Kashmir from Nagpur and thought them a lesson.
Now they can buy their own land and build too and remain there.
