
Mass shooting in New York’s Rochester City leaves 1 20-year-old dead, one in serious condition
A mass shooting at Maplewood Park in Rochester, New York, left one person dead and at least six others injured on Monday, according to local media reports.
Authorities have confirmed that a party was occurring at the park when the shooting incident unfolded. However, the details leading up to the violence are still unclear.
According to police cited by the local media, one 20-year-old person has died, while another one is in serious condition. Other five injured people have been hospitalized with ‘relatively minor injuries.’ The identity of the deceased victim has not been released, as police are still in the process of notifying the family.
The Rochester police arrived at the scene and officers found multiple individuals with gunshot wounds and observed a large crowd fleeing the area.
As per rochesterfirst.com, the Rochester police responded to a 6:20 p.m. call about gunfire at a large gathering on Bridge View Drive Park.
