Fire at Bhugaon Steel
A fire broke out at the Bhugaon Steel Company in Wardha district,Maharashtra, on Wednesday, injuring 16 workers. The blaze caused panic among the workers, and emergency services rushed to the scene immediately.
All the injured workers were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment, with one reported to be in critical condition. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, and efforts to ascertain the extent of the damage are underway.
Rahul Kardile, the Collector of Wardha, confirmed the incident and assured the public that the fire had been successfully brought under control. “16 workers were injured after a fire broke out at Bhugaon Steel Company in Wardha district. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. One of them is in critical condition.
The fire has been brought under control. An inquiry has been started as to how exactly this incident took place. The administration team has reached the spot,” Kardile said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine whether it was a result of industrial negligence or an accident.
The incident has raised concerns over workplace safety at industrial units, with local residents and labour unions calling for enhanced safety measures and regular inspections at such facilities to prevent future accidents.
