Pakistan continues brutality on minorities: 18-year-old Hindu girl, Pooja Oad, shot dead
The atrocities on the minority Hindu community continue in Pakistan. In another attack against the Hindus in Pakistan, an 18-year-old girl, Pooja Oad, was shot dead in the street of the Sindh district after she resisted attempts to abduct her.
Pakistan media reports claimed that the girl was shot dead in the Rohi area of Sukkur town during a failed abduction attempt. This was the second attempt at abducting the girl after she escaped the first attempt safely.
BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa who often raises issues pertaining to minority rights came forward to slam the shocking incident from Pakistan. Sirsa said that such incidents were common in Pakistan and claimed that lawlessness prevailed in the country.
He took to Twitter to share the pictures and tagged Pakistan PM Imran Khan and urged MEA S. Jaishankar to look into the matter.
“Terrible News from Pakistan! 18-year Hindu girl, Pooja Oad, was shot dead by 5 Muslim men in Rohi, Sukkur, during a failed abduction attempt. This incident took place in the middle of the street after she put up resistance. No action taken by Police.”

Hindus, who are a minority in the Islamic nation of Pakistan are regularly targeted with hate, abductions, rapes, forced marriages, and murder. Every year, several women belonging to minority communities, especially Hindus in Sindh Pakistan, are abducted and forcibly converted by religious extremists.
