Absconding Budaun muder case co-accused Javed in police net
The Uttar Pradesh Police arrested Mohammad Javed, the second accused in the Budaun double murder case from Bareilly on Thursday.
The entire nation was shocked over the murder of minor boys Ayush (13), and Honey (6), by their Muslim neighbour Sajid by slitting their throat with razor.
Sajid was accompanied by his brother Javed, who was on the run he remained elusive, prompting authorities to offer a reward of Rs.25,000 for information leading to his arrest.
Sajid, a local barber hacked the two children to death at Baba Colony. Sajid owned a kiosk outside the house of the deceased. He reached their house at 6 pm on Tuesday evening and took the children inside the house on the pretext of feeding them something. After locking them inside a room, he slit the necks of all the children one by one using a razor.
Earlier, while Sajid was encountered by the police on Tuesday night, the UP police took the father and the uncle of Javed into custody.
A video has also surfaced wherein Javed is heard saying that he came to Bareilly to surrender himself. “I ran straight to Delhi and from there (Badaun)… I have to come to Bareilly to surrender. I have received phone calls from people about what my brother did…” he said.
The post-mortem report of the victims, two young brothers, has shed light on the brutal nature of the crime.
The older sibling had 11 wounds on his body and the younger boy had two injuries on his neck and face.
The authorities have assured that further investigation is underway, and justice will be served.
