Punjab Shiv Sena leader attacked by 4 men dressed as Nihang Sikhs
Punjab Shiv Sena leader Sandeep Thapar Gora was assaulted with swords by a group of Nihangs outside Ludhiana Civil Hospital on Friday afternoon.
The attackers escaped, and Thapar was rushed to DMC hospital for treatment. Gora is currently in critical condition at the district hospital.
Sandeep Thapar Gora is a descendant of Indian Freedom Fighter and martyr Sukhdev Thapar.
Notably, Thapar received police protection and the attack took place in front of his armed guard.
President Shiv Sena Punjab, Rajiv Tandon said, “Sandeep Thapar had gone to the civil hospital to attend a memorial function of BJP leader Ravinder Arora.
As soon as he came out of the hospital with his gunman, a group of Nihangs intercepted him. The accused assaulted Sandeep Thapar with swords in front of his gunman who did nothing to save him.”
After the attack, the Shiv Sena leaders protest at the civil hospital and later on at DMC hospital against the police administration.
