J&K L-G Manoj Sinha leads ‘Tiranga Rally’ in Kashmir

In a vibrant display of national pride, a massive ‘Tiranga Rally‘ took place in Srinagar on Monday, marking the build-up to Independence Day celebrations. Led by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, the rally attracted an estimated 10,000 participants.

The ‘Tiranga’ rally in Srinagar is part of the government’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, encouraging citizens to display the national flag at home for Independence Day.

The event commenced at the picturesque Botanical Garden by the banks of Dal Lake, where participants marched towards the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC). The rally then concluded with a return march to the Botanical Garden.

Following the procession, a canvas signature campaign will be held, along with a cultural program at the Botanical Garden.

The program will feature patriotic songs and various events to commemorate India’s independence, highlighting the significance of the national holiday.

Similar rallies were held across several districts in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Following the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, J&K was fully integrated with India, and since then, it has been mandatory for all government buildings, schools, and universities to hoist the national flag on August 15, reinforcing the nation’s unity and integrity.
