Israeli airstrike in Damascus eliminates late Hezbollah chief Nasrallah’s son-in-law Hassan Jafar Qasir
In a decisive blow against Hezbollah‘s leadership, an Israeli airstrike in Damascus has eliminated Hassan Jafar Qasir, the son-in-law of the late Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. The strike targeted a residence in the Mazzeh Western Villas neighborhood, a known hub for Hezbollah and Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps leaders.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Wednesday’s airstrike resulted in three deaths, including two non-Syrians, and left at least four others injured. The Syrian Defense Ministry confirmed the casualties, attributing the attack to Israeli forces operating from the occupied Golan Heights.
This airstrike comes on the heels of another attack earlier in the week that claimed three lives, including a journalist, and injured nine others, underscoring the ongoing threat posed by Hezbollah’s military infrastructure in the region. The latest escalation follows Israel’s previous airstrike on September 27, which resulted in Nasrallah’s death.
Hezbollah’s persistent provocations and terrorist activities have drawn strong military responses from Israel, emphasizing the necessity of such actions to combat the group’s destabilizing influence in the region.
