Hazratbal vandalism: National Emblem smashed, secessionist agendas rise in Kashmir
Despite the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, which had granted special status to Jammu & Kashmir and had made the Muslim majority State a nation within India, the secessionist movement, aided and abetted by Pakistan and various Islamic terrorist outfits, reigns supreme.
On 5th September 2025, during the noon prayers, hundreds of rioters destroyed the National Emblem (Ashoka Chakra) embossed on the plaque at the Hazratbal Mosque, which the believers claim of housing the relics of Prophet Mohammed. Live visuals of the vandalism perpetrated on the Ashoka Chakra were aired “Live” by various nationalist television channels. The Opposition parties, led by Congress, termed the National Emblem as provocative and blasphemous.
Not a single day passes in Kashmir sans reports of terrorist attacks on the security forces and the civilians. Many officers and jawans of the Indian Army are getting martyred on a daily basis, and one has lost count of the number of Bravehearts making the ultimate sacrifice on the altar of Indian nationalism.
True to their hidden agenda of seceding from India and joining the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah blamed the Centre for the present chaos. Abdullah Junior said that the Waqf Board authorized for the maintenance of the Mosque should apologize to the Muslims and claimed that the National Emblem destroyed by the believers was meant for government offices.
Farooq Abdullah, former chief minister and father of Omar Abdullah, too blamed the Centre for the installation of the Ashoka Emblem. “It was a mistake. There was no need. When the Hazratbal shrine was constructed, no board was placed there because it was dedicated to Allah and His Prophet,” said Papa Abdullah. He also claimed that the Muslims were peace-loving people, and this should not have been done.
NC chief spokesperson and party legislator Tanvir Sadiq said idol worship is strictly forbidden in Islam. “The foundation of our faith is Tawheed (Islamic monotheism). Sacred spaces must reflect only the purity of Tawheed,” said Sadiq[1].
Scientist-turned-political commentator-turned-author Dr Anand Ranganathan lambasted the rioters and their action in destroying the national emblem. “Those justifying the desecration of the Ashoka emblem present outside the Hazratbal mosque in Srinagar because it symbolises an idol, have no qualms about the idols of Hindu Gods, including Lord Ganesha and Narasimh, a present inside the Quwat-ul-Islam mosque in Delhi. The Ashoka Emblem represents India, not God; it is an ideal, not an idol. And yet it is being smashed,” said Dr Ranganathan.
Dr Ranganathan further stated what Dr B R Ambedkar had said: “Allegiance of a Muslim is not to his nation but to his faith. Islam can never allow a true Muslim to adopt India as his motherland.”
The words and deeds of the National Conference and People’s Democratic Party prove that they have succeeded in counter-subversion in Kashmir long ago. The allegiance of Kashmiri Muslims is with Pakistan because they do not believe in the concept of motherland. “Jammu & Kashmir, Dilemma of Accession,” authored by Radha Rajan (published by Voice of India, New Delhi), states the evil designs of the British in bifurcating (or was it trifurcating?) India and the silence maintained by Jawaharlal Nehru over the mutilation of the independent sub-continent.
“Imperial London sent Mountbatten as India’s last viceroy in March 1947 with the sole intent of implementing two far-sighted geostrategic objectives- to create the virulently hostile Islamic State of Pakistan which would exist as a permanent threat on two sides of India’ s national borders (on the east and on the west) and to create an independent Muslim-ruled State of Jammu &Kashmir or better still, Jammu & Kashmir as a Pakistani satellite State,” writes Ms Rajan (Page 16) based on her studies about the evolution and transformation of the region, which is India’s largest State.
The Muslims in India could not be blamed for their hatred towards Hindus. The Holy Quran, the book they adore and worship, says in Chapter 9, verse 5 –“Then when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them and take them captive and besiege them and prepare for them each ambush .. Oh, ye who believe! The idolaters only are unclean… In truth, the disbelievers are an open enemy to you.” To date, no Quran scholars have succeeded in removing the fear from the minds of the kafirs.
Attempts are being made, not by Muslims, but by their paid agents, to portray the followers of Sanatana Dharma as villains. Since the secular, liberal brigade has lost its sharpness as more and more people in India are seeing through their intentions, the liberal and pseudo intellectuals have started hiring the services of “eminent historians” from faraway the United States to whitewash the cruel deeds of Mughal monarchs like Aurangzeb.
“India, 5,000 Years of History on the Subcontinent,” authored by Audrey Truschke, is the latest effort by the counter-insurgents to subvert the history of the subcontinent. Truschke writes that Hindus flourished during the regime of Aurangzeb, who built temples for them and appointed Hindus as his court jesters. This historian claims that Aurangzeb ordered the destruction of the Kashi Viswanatha Temple at Banaras to quell the rebellion by local landlords in 1669.
Truschke may not be aware of the presence of Manuki and Bernier, respectively from Italy and France, who were always present by the side of Aurangzeb as his advisors and physicians. Both of them were witnesses to how and why Aurangzeb destroyed the temples sacred to the Hindus.
Attempts are in full swing across India to Islamize the nation. The Love Jihad, forced religious conversions, and slaughtering of Hindus in the country are part of this objective. The recent Vinayaka Chaturthi festival saw Muslims resorting to pelting stones on processions carrying Ganesha idols for immersion. Earlier, Love Jihad featured only the victim and the hunter. But situations have changed over the years. To encourage the Muslim youths to win over the militant activists of Girls Islamic Organization (GIO), join in their campaign to woo the gullible Hindu girls and make them convert to Islam.
The situation in J&K and other parts of India does not assure the Hindus of safety and security. For that to happen, the Islamic psyche has to undergo a major change, but it will take many decades. Till then, the Islamist organisations aided by the mass media and massive publicity will keep the international community engaged in discussions on saffron terrorism.
The Muslims and Communists in India have one fact that is common to both. While the allegiance of the Communists lies with their Fatherland, the Islamists have their loyalty with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Wasn’t this loyalty that made them take arms and annihilate thousands of Hindus under the pretext of the Khilafat movement?
