The government has worked with a “Nation First” approach and focused on empowering youth, women and farmers over the past 12 years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said his government’s 12 years in office have been dedicated to trust, development and public welfare, while outlining a range of welfare schemes, infrastructure projects and digital initiatives undertaken during this period.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said the government has worked with the spirit of “Nation First” and focused on empowering youth, women and farmers.

“The past 12 years of our government have been dedicated to trust, development, and public welfare,” PM Modi wrote. “With the blessings of 1.4 billion fellow citizens and the spirit of nation first, we have spared no effort in empowering our youth, women, and our farmer brothers and sisters.”

He said the government would continue its efforts to improve people’s lives and work towards making India a developed nation.

“To realise the resolve of a developed India, we will continue to move forward relentlessly on this path of service, good governance, and prosperity,” he added.

The Prime Minister also shared a poster detailing key achievements across welfare, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, digital services and national security.

Highlights from the 12-year report card

Welfare and social schemes

More than 81 crore people receiving free food grains every month.
Over 4 crore houses built under the PM Awas Yojana.
More than 10.5 crore rural households provided tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Over 32 crore women opening Jan Dhan bank accounts.
Nearly 10 crore toilets constructed and over 91 lakh self-help groups strengthened.

Healthcare

More than 70 crore people covered under health insurance schemes.
Over 60 crore people receiving free treatment benefits.
Around 19,000 affordable medicines available through Jan Aushadhi centres.
Immunisation coverage crossing 90 percent.

Agriculture and farmers

More than Rs 4.3 lakh crore transferred under the PM-KISAN income support scheme.
44 crore soil health cards distributed.
Crop procurement worth Rs 26 lakh crore carried out at the minimum support price.

Digital and financial inclusion

UPI transaction value crossing Rs 2,125 lakh crore.
Around 1.6 lakh post offices digitally connected.
Mobile connections rising to more than 151 crore and internet users to 130 crore.

Infrastructure

Development of 26 greenfield expressways.
Expansion of metro rail networks to over 1,100 km.
Increase in operational airports from 74 to 164.
Security and cultural projects
Defence exports crossing Rs 38,400 crore.

Construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and redevelopment of sites such as Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Mahakal Lok.
