Amethi, Uttar Pradesh: Security agencies were called in for a emergency bomb removal after a few passengers aboard the Amritsar bound Akhal Thakt express found a suspicious object in the train. The bomb disposal squad was quick to arrive at the scene.
The incident which took place last night was however largely unreported by a huge section of the Indian media. Almost three coaches were vacated after as soon as the police got the message.
Officials said that they had received the message before the train reached Amethi and has stopped it there for checking. He said that the bomb was poorly made by someone without experience and it was diffused easily. They also said that such threats are higher during Independence day period and the forces are maintaining higher vigil.
A package with a ‘sutli’ (thread) wrapped, two lighters and little powder material strewn around was found in the train(Akal Takhat Express/12317),” a GRP official said.
The official also sad that a letter was recovered with the bomb, which read “Dujana ki shahadat ka badla ab Hindustan ko chukana padega” (India will have to pay for the death of Abu Dujana – the former LeT Commander).
Further the official also said that the bomb was safely taken away by the Bomb Disposal Squad.
