Rapes are made possible by the selective outraging. If we read local papers like Dainik Bhaskar, Amar Ujala, and Dainik Jagran, their district editions from Ajmer to Darbhanga, there are news of at least twenty rape cases DAILY. Most of the girls are minor. Some as young as 10 years. But rapists have wrong names. So no outrage.
Once in six months or a year, a case happens in which the names are all perfect. The caste of the victim, the caste of rapists, are exactly what Ravish likes.
So outrage machine goes in top gear. The conscience keeper rats of the society all come crawling out of their holes because they can outrage without affecting their secular credentials. Outrage runs for about a week or a fortnight. All become happy: they have done their duty against the “rape cases trending in India.”
The day we start outraging in each rape case without first checking the names of rapists, rapes will stop in India.
