West Bengal Panchayat elections: Final tally

BJP+ wins 10,000 wards in West Bengal Panchayat elections.

CPM+LEFT+ISF is a distant third & it won around 6,000 wards. TMC won 8,000 wards uncontested (mainly intimidation) & its final tally was 44,000 wards approx., while 1,050 wards are yet to be counted.

Bengal Panchayat elections final vote share

TMC: 51.6%
BJP: 22.9%
LEFT: 13.2%
INC: 6.42%
ISF: 0.8%

BJP gets 23% vote share in panchayat polls indicative of BJP will perform well in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Big Boost to the Saffron party ahead of Lok Sabha elections & setback for the opposition which was expecting BJP to be wiped out in Bengal. Credit for the big win that BJP has achieved goes to Suvendu Adhikari, Sukanta Majumdar, Sunil Bansal & BJP workers for reviving the party in Bengal. The BJP still needs to have an extra focus on some districts.

In Nandigram, considered the stronghold of Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of the Opposition in the Bengal Assembly, BJP has secured the upper hand in gram panchayat areas of Boyal-I, Boyal-II, Khodambari-I and Khodambari-II under Nandigram-II block.

This tally suggests BJP has grabbed a good number of votes & it has retained its base.
