A 3 yr old girl is sexually assaulted several times by the trustee of her school with the connivance of the class teacher, according to her parents. The child’s mother files an FIR at MIDC police station on May 18, 2017, under Sec 376 (rape) n POCSO. The medical report does not rule out sexual assault. The child’s statement is recorded before a magistrate where she confirms the allegation. Till date the two accused have not been arrested which is done in all cases where Sec 376 n POCSO are applied.
I moved the Maharashtra Child Rights Commission which on Sept 12 ordered the police to arrest the accused. The police don’t do that.
The police conduct lie-detector tests on the accused which does not give them clean chits.
The mother moves the Bombay High Court which prima facie finds substance in the complaint n slams the police for its shoddy investigation.
I conduct a campaign on Change.Org pleading the child’s case with CM Fadnavis since he is also father of a minor girl. No luck.
The cops only agree to transfer the probe to another asst commissioner but one who reports to the same DCP Navin Reddy, who was summoned by the HC.
Yet no arrests. Incidentally, accused no. 1 is a foreigner. I conduct a campaign on Change.Org pleading the child’s case with CM Fadnavis since he is also father of a minor girl. No luck.

Or maybe you can solve the mystery of the non-arrests. If this is the way the cops behave in a place like Mumbai you can well imagine the situation elsewhere. Mera Bharat Mahan!!
