Interestingly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to BRICS also emphasized the crucial diplomatic initiatives for the Global South. It is vital, for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, the six Southern States for Bharatiya Janata Party and Modi-Shah-Nadda trio, the numbers game. How many Members of Parliament, the BJP may win out of 130 Lok Sabha seats from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Puducherry.
What needs focus is Tamil Nadu

In the past five years, at least 2,500 times, Prime Minister Narendra Modi might have expressed his views on Tamil Nadu, in multiple fora, be it international, national, or for that matter even in presenting a gift to a foreign dignitary, the Tamil artisan culture comes to the fore. PM Modi’s idea of “Kashi Tamil Sangamam” a month-long event in Varanasi. Similarly, Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam where Gujaratis and Maharashtrians moved into Tamil Nadu hundreds of years ago. Modi celebrated that event too. To cap it all, it was Modi the first Prime Minister to visit Jaffna the Tamil area in Sri Lanka, after the 2009 Tamil genocide in the North Eastern province during the UPA regime. Modi raised the KachchaTheevu (an island near Tamil Nadu bordering Sri Lankan waters) during a no-confidence motion.

Seriousness of BJP in TN politics
What do these political moves indicate? That BJP is serious in Tamil Nadu politics. It is BJP and Modi that are keen to imbibe nationalism in the minds of Tamil youths. That is the reason R N Ravi, a Bihari IPS officer was sent as Governor of Tamil Nadu. R N Ravi is giving sleepless nights to DMK. Similarly “En Mann-En Makkal” (“Meri Mitti, Meri janata”) 120 days of padayatra in all 234 Assembly seats of Tamil Nadu by its local unit BJP Chief Annamalai.
Yogi a hero in TN
In Tamil Nadu, Yogi Adityanath is a Hero. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister gets votes for the BJP. Yogi got two MLAs in Tamil Nadu. Needless to mention, Rajnikanth is a superstar in the tinsel world. Rajni has fan clubs in lakhs in Tamil Nadu. His latest and 286th movie is “Jailer“. Rajnikanth thought it necessary to get a Hindi audience for Jailer to travel to North India. Rajni undertook a one-week tour, camped in Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh to promote his film Jailer. In this process, Rajnikanth met Yogi Aditynath, the Chief Minister in Lucknow. As Rajni got down from his car, the superstar saw Yogi Adityanath. It is a north Indian culture to touch the feet of Yogi. When this photo appeared on Twitter and in social media, the Dravidians and the Left-liberal ecosystem went overboard to criticize Rajni.
Rajin’s Jailer
Especially the DMK. Which is an atheist party, condemned. But Rajnikanth achieved his purpose of marketing Jailer. In one shot mangoes that Rajni achieved. According to Sun Pictures management- which is owned by DMK MP Dayanidhi Maran, the producers of the “Jailer” film were not only happy with the Yogi Rajni photo but also the theater collection was a huge hit. With these illustrations, you can sense the mood of the public. A youth in Tamil Nadu is mad after Rajni. Second is Narendra Modi. Third, of course, those who are nationalists and strong followers of Hindutva are mad after Yogi Adityanath. With these changes in narratives, BJP’s top leadership has arrived at a conclusion that digital children are not for Dravidian ideology. These youth are for development. That is Vikas. No matter what you may pump in regionalism the youth outlook is liberalism and a feeling of one-ness. Vasudeva Kutumbakam. Tamil youth, be it men or women are sincerely looking for an alternative to DMK ideology Dravidian Model.
That is why Modi-Shah-Yogi-Rajni and Hindutva euphorias are on the rise in the South, especially in Tamil Nadu.
