Delhi Excise scam: CBI arrests senior executive of India Ahead News for Rs.17 cr transfer to AAP publicity handler
On Monday the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Arvind Kumar Singh of India Ahead News in connection with its probe into the Delhi Excise Policy case.
Singh had allegedly channelized Rs.17 crore to South Group through the hawala channel.
“Arvind Kumar Singh, the commercial head and production controller of the news channel, was arrested for alleged transfer of Rs.17 crores to a company handling the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) publicity campaign during the Goa elections through hawala channels,” an official said.
Later in the day, he will be produced before the Special CBI court. The CBI is all set to seek his custodial remand in the matter. The CBI has filed a charge sheet and a supplementary charge sheet in the matter.
