[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]T[/dropcap]he Delhi police and country intelligence agencies are desperately trying to track a white colour Alto car that they suspect terrorists might use to attack the national capital on the Republic day Celebration on January 25. Following the disappearance of the car and intelligence feedbacks about possible terror attack on Delhi, the country has been put on a high alert.
Looking for a White Alto car in Delhi

Three men reportedly hired the car in Pathankot last week. The driver of the car was found dead in Kangra disitrict of Himachal Pradesh, 470 kms from Delhi, two days later. The car has gone missing since then. The police suspect that the terrorists might have killed the driver and try to use the car to sneak into Delhi to carry out an attack.

The Delhi police has reasons to issue a terror alert following the disappearance of the Alto car. Last week, a beacon-fitted car of Inspector general of the Indo-Tibbetan Border Force (ITBP) was stolen in Delhi. The car can come handy for the terrorists to avoid security net in the national capital.

In massive countrywide crackdown the National Investigating Agency (NIA) and the police arrested 15 terror suspects from Hyderabad (6), Mumbai (5) and various parts of Karnataka (4).

[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]A[/dropcap] chemical engineering dropout and five other persons were arrested by the NIA from Bengaluru, Mangalore and Tumkur districts of Karnataka for suspected link with Islamic states.

In Mumbai, the anti-terror squad nabbed four people from the outskirts of the metropolis for suspected link with the IS. The terror squad personnel recovered IS documents from the four persons who were produced in the court and taken on remand for custodial interrogation. The IS documetns are puported to have been downloaded from interent.

The IB on Thursday had warned of possible terror attacks by the IS on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President François Hollande during the Republic Day celebration on January 26 in the capital.

Immediately after the alert by the security agency all the vital installations around India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan were put on high alert.

The IB has warned that possible terror attacks will be similar to the ones in Paris and Jakarta, in which several civilians were killed.

Top officers of Delhi police and other security agencies held a meeting to chalk out an elaborate security ring to prevent such untoward incidents.
