[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]A[/dropcap]lmost expressing his annoyance over stalling of government because of disruptions, President Pranab Mukherjee said debate, dissent and decision are extremely important things of country where leaders are chosen by votes.
“My teacher told me when I was a child that three Ds are extremely important in democracy – debate, disagreement and finally decision. I never heard there is another D – disruption, which means stalling government by creating a screaming and running around.
“There are lot of other places where one can have access to help to disruption”, Mukherjee said while delivering the important speech at the closing function of the 125th birth yearly recognition celebrations of India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
The president expressed his happiness over India entering into an agreement with Japan on civil nuclear cooperation and recalled that he had in 2008 started the process of civil nuclear cooperation with countries like US and Russia during his short time as external affairs minister.
