Dr Swamy has been trying very hard to get the Ram Mandir issue resolved through a day-to-day hearing at the Apex Court
Apex court has not given a date for the hearing yet but said the main matter will be listed shortly. On March 31, 2017, the Apex court refused to grant an early hearing on a plea filed by Dr Swamy concerning the Ayodhya- Babri Masjid case. Since a very long time, Dr Swamy was trying very hard to get the issue resolved through a day-to-day hearing at the Apex Court.
It was back in February 2016 when Dr Swamy had filed a petition in Supreme Court and the Court granted permission to Dr Swamy to intervene in the appeals pending in the Ayodhya Ram Mandir suits in which status quo has been ordered to be maintained. In his petition, Dr Swamy had urged the Court to allow the Hindus to rebuild the temple at Ram-Janmbhoomi site at Ayodhya.
Dr Swamy faced many ups and down in his initiatives but he didn’t give up.
Since then Dr Swamy faced many ups and down in his initiatives but he didn’t give up. From SC’s refusal to entertain his plea seeking an early hearing on the issue, to SC agreeing on his plea regarding construction of Ram temple. Previously, a Bench of CJI and Justice Chandrachud on 31st March 2017, not only refused his plea seeking an early hearing but also questioned Dr Swamy’s locus standi in a verbal observation.
Unstoppable Dr Swamy didn’t give up, he was ready with another weapon. In July, he filed a plea in SC seeking its intervention in Ram Janmabhoomi issue as it’s his fundamental right to worship. Dr Swamy also further sought permission to perform the Pooja in the temple. The weapon hit its exact target and Dr Swamy received a letter which he furnished to CJI on this Friday that allows him to join the Ram Temple case.
Once the Pran Pratishtha Pooja done, a temple is immovable from its place because it’s where God himself resides as per beliefs in Hinduism.
Top legal experts of the country believe that the points Dr Swamy would put regarding the issue are valid and worthy to bring victory to Hindus in this long pending case. Dr Swamy says a mosque is nothing but a space to offer prayers and also can be easily moved from one site to another while a temple immovable space because it’s where God himself resides as per beliefs in Hinduism. Once the Pran Pratishtha Pooja done, a temple can never be moved. This single point of Dr Swamy put much weight on Hindus side. Now when the Apex Court of the country has included Dr Swamy in Ram Temple case and assured him an early hearing, Hindus across the globe are happy and pretty confident that the Ram temple will be a reality soon, very soon though!
