Richa Chadha’s post on Galwan martyrs sparks controversy
Richa Chadha’s condemnable and outrageous tweet taking an offhand remark to mock India’s martyrs, bravehearts, and the Army, has drawn a backlash from social media users.
In her reply to Northern Army Commander Lt General Upendra Dwivedi‘s comments that the Indian Army is ready to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Responding to a post on the statement of intent, Chadha wrote ‘Galwan says hi‘.
This is taken as an insult and disrespect to the 20 Jawans who made the supreme sacrifice in the Galwan clash with the Chinese PLA that took place on the intervening night of June 15-16, 2020. A mass brawl broke out, as the firing of weapons could have led to a far larger escalation, though the Chinese PLA did use clubs and rods wrapped in barbed wire nonetheless.
Replying to her tweet, well-known author Shefali Vaidya tweeted, “20 Indian soldiers made the supreme sacrifice at Galwan including Col Santosh Babu fighting against a barbarian Chinese army. This two-bit actress mocks their death with her casual comment. Why does the Hindi film industry produce so many gigantic turds like this RichaChadha?”

The problem is not these few irrelevant ppl who sunk the film industry image with their career, the problem is those also who remain silent.”
