Kerala Story debate rekindled after MBBS student’s murder
There were widespread protests all over Kerala when the movies Kerala Story and Kerala Story 2 were released. The movies were based on real-life stories featuring girls who had fallen victim to Love Jihad and Narcotics Jihad of Islamic youths who wooed them with sweet promises and subjected them to third-degree measures when they refused to convert to Islam. These girls, handpicked by Jihadi Romeos, were mostly from Hindu families and possessed professional qualifications. Those who were lucky ended up as one of the wives of these Romeos, while others ended up as sex slaves to the “soldiers” of Islamic State and even to Saeed Hafiz, the LeT chief based in Pakistan.
The protests against these movies were masterminded by the Mullahs, Marxists, and Maulavis with tacit support from the Congress and even Rahul Easwar of the Thazhamon Mutt, the family of the chief priests of Sabarimala Temple. Pinarayi Vijayan, the then chief minister of Kerala, was at the forefront of the agitation against these movies. His ire towards those opposing the movies could be understood, as his daughter Veena herself is a victim of Love Jihad. M V Govindan, the party’s Kerala secretary, and Kerala’s minister for education, V Sivankutty, in the Pinarayi Vijayan government, played major roles in getting a 16-year-old girl from Madhya Pradesh married off to a Jihadi from Maharashtra. With the girl’s parents approaching the court with a claim that she was underage for marriage, the Marxist duo find themselves in hot water and are running from pillar to post to save their skin.
The stage is set for Kerala Story 3 as yet another girl from Alappuzha has fallen victim to Love Jihad. Sawaria Basanth, a 21-year-old girl who was pursuing an MBBS course in Uzbekistan, was found murdered in her hostel room in Bukhara State Medical Institute by her boyfriend, Sadarul Anam, another 22-year old student in the same college who hails from Malappuram, Kerala’s own mini Pakistan. It is reported that Anam murdered Basanth after inflicting the worst kind of injuries on her body from toe to head. “There was not a single inch of space on her body which has been left untouched by Anam. He got furious when she refused to convert to Islam,” said her uncle, who had rushed to Uzbekistan to collect her mortal remains. Though Uzbekistan law agencies have arrested Anam, chances of him getting punished look bleak as the country is an Islamic republic. There are reports that Anam’s family members are in touch with both Congress and CPI(M) leaders to extricate him from the case and bring him back safely to Kerala.[1]
The media in Kerala, which goes overboard when some small incidents happen in BJP-ruled States in India, maintained total silence over the issue. They even blacked out the name of Anam and his Malappuram background for the first three days. It was only after the national channels disclosed the identity of the murderer that they published his name, and that too with utmost caution.
Girls and women falling to the evil designs and machinations of Islamic youthhave become a regular feature in Kerala. While Muslim girls are well guarded by the religious police, the youth are given a free hand by the community leaders to get as many girls as possible to Islam. There are financial incentives for youth who get the maximum number of girls proselytized. Initially, motorbikes and high-end designer shirts constituted the package. Now, it is sports cars and luxury apartments that the Romeos get in return for “successfully recruiting” the victims.
The Sadarul Anam affair is likely to snowball into a major diplomatic issue as his extradition from Uzbekistan is all set to face many hurdles. The Crime Branch of the Kerala Police has registered a case against Anam in Harippadu, while the police in Uzbekistan have also registered a case. Since the crime took place in Uzbekistan, the murderer, Anam, may have to stand trial in that landlocked country. But the Muslim League and Congress, aided by the CPI(M), have launched a “Save Anam” mission.
If the words of a top BJP leader in the state are any indication, the Hindutva party too will join the chorus to save Anam. Anoop Antony Joseph, BJP leader and close aide of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, while condemning the incident, chose not to hurt the Islamists.
Pathanamthitta, Keralam: BJP leader Anoop Antony Joseph says, “Yesterday, Kerala as well as the nation was shocked to hear about a tragic death of a student who is studying in Uzbekistan, Sawariya Basant, who lives very nearby to my place, a place called Haripad. In the recent past, a Muslim from Kerala who was sentenced to death by a Saudi Arabian court for murdering the son of his employer was saved from the gallows and brought back to Kerala thanks to the intervention of Mullahs, Maulavis, Marxists, and the Church.
