FBI Puts $1 Million Bounty on Goldy Brar, Names Him Among Top Ten Fugitives

The FBI has added Satinderjeet Singh, better known as Goldy Brar, to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to his arrest over alleged ties to the Lawrence Bishnoi organised crime group.

Singh was added to the list on September 28, according to FBI Los Angeles Field Office Assistant Director in Charge Patrick Grandy, making him the 543rd person ever added since the programme began. “Satinderjeet Singh, also known as Goldy Brar, is a dangerous individual, and the FBI and our partners have made it our priority to apprehend him, which is why we’re adding him to the FBI’s list of Top Ten fugitives and offering a reward of up to $1 million for his capture,” Grandy said.

Allegations against him

The FBI describes Singh as the alleged North American leader of the Lawrence Bishnoi Organised Crime Group, which it says is engaged in a range of violent acts across Southern California, the wider United States and Canada. The agency alleges his involvement in assassinations of political and religious figures, shootings, murders, kidnappings, extortion, assaults, and trafficking of narcotics and weapons. Federal charges against him in Los Angeles reportedly include racketeering (RICO) conspiracy, extortion and drug trafficking, with a federal arrest warrant issued on July 1, 2026.

The Bishnoi enterprise has separately been accused of stealing around 520 kg of cocaine from rival trafficking groups in the greater Los Angeles area between March 2024 and July 2025. The FBI considers Singh armed, extremely dangerous and an escape risk, and has warned the public not to approach or interact with him. He is believed to reside in California and parts of Canada.

Part of a larger crackdown

Singh’s listing follows Operation Hardball, a years-long federal investigation into India-based transnational organised crime groups. In July, US authorities announced charges against 37 defendants linked to three such groups, with one indictment focused specifically on the Bishnoi enterprise and Singh named as one of its leaders. The case is being investigated jointly by the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office, the Los Angeles Police Department, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and other domestic and international agencies.

A long list of past notoriety

Singh has long been a wanted figure in both India and Canada. He is the prime accused in the 2022 killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, having claimed responsibility for the murder within hours of it occurring, and was named in a 1,850-page charge sheet filed by Punjab Police that year. India’s NIA has separately chargesheeted him, Lawrence Bishnoi and Anmol Bishnoi over alleged links to terrorist organisations, and announced a Rs 10 lakh reward for information on him in 2024. Canada’s BOLO programme had already placed him among its top 25 most-wanted fugitives, and Canada formally designated the Bishnoi gang a terrorist entity on September 29, 2025.

The FBI has clarified that its Ten Most Wanted list carries no ranking from most to least dangerous, and functions instead as a publicity tool designed to help generate tips leading to a fugitive’s capture.
