PM Modi targets I.N.D.I.A bloc, Congress
In an exclusive interview with ANI, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the I.N.D.I.A bloc of indulging in “vote bank politics.” Criticizing opposition parties for undermining the constitutional rights of SC, ST, and OBCs he stated that these groups needed to be protected.
PM Modi said that those who call themselves the biggest sympathizers of the backward communities are in reality their biggest enemies.
He said, “I want to alert the SC, ST, OBC & other backward-class people because by keeping them in darkness they (the opposition) are looting them. Election is such a time, that I should make the countrymen aware of the biggest crisis that is coming. Therefore, I have been explaining this to the people.”
He added, “The basic spirit of the Constitution of India is being violated, and that too for the sake of vote bank politics. Those who call themselves well-wishers of the Dalits, and Tribals, are in reality their staunch enemies. There is an imprint of the Muslim League in their manifesto. Do you want to destroy the coming generations also for the sake of vote-bank?”
Speaking on the record-breaking voter turnout in the recent Lok Sabha elections in Kashmir, he said that it shattered a 40-year-old record, signaling a powerful message from the people of Kashmir to the world and to those who used to have doubts by voting in record numbers.
On his decision to remove Article 370, PM Narendra Modi said, “Article 370 was the agenda of only 4-5 families, it was neither the agenda of the people of Kashmir nor the agenda of the people of the country. For their benefit, they built a wall of 370 and used to say that if 370 was removed, there would be a fire. Today it has become true that after the removal of 370, there is a feeling of more unity. The feeling of belongingness is increasing among the people of Kashmir and hence its direct result is also visible in elections, and tourism.”
PM Modi exuded confidence in the BJP securing maximum success in West Bengal in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections. He said that the Trinamool Congress is “fighting for its survival” in the state.
When asked about the Calcutta High Court‘s decision to cancel all OBC certificates issued in West Bengal after 2010, the Prime Minister said that the Opposition is “abusing the judiciary” after the verdict for “vote bank politics”.
