Kharge family’s land return signals deeper corruption concerns

The Congress party is once again mired in controversy as Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s family, owners of the Siddhartha Vihar Trust, has offered to return a five-acre plot of land amid an ongoing investigation into the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site scam. This latest development raises serious questions about the integrity of the party, already under fire for corruption allegations involving Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

The land in question, located in the Hardware Sector of the Hi-Tech Defence and Aerospace Park in Bagalur, was allegedly allotted to Kharge’s son by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB).

The timing of the family’s decision to relinquish the land is telling, coming after significant public backlash and scrutiny following Siddaramaiah’s wife’s similar move to return land associated with the scandal.

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla did not hold back in his condemnation of the Congress party, labeling the Kharge family’s decision as a clear admission of guilt.

Poonawalla said, “Kharge family has returned the 5-acre KIADB land illegally allotted to them. They had grabbed this from deserving SC entrepreneurs in the aerospace domain!” emphasizing that the Congress’s repeated corruption scandals are deeply embedded in their operations.

“Congress is equal to corruption ki dukaan. Return of land won’t absolve anyone of their crimes,” he further stated.

Poonawalla further asserted, “This is not just a case of returning land; it’s an acknowledgment of wrongdoing. Congress has become synonymous with corruption. Returning the land won’t absolve anyone of their crimes.”

As the investigation unfolds, the party faces mounting pressure to address its culture of corruption, leaving many to wonder if the Congress can recover from yet another scandal.

  1. It is a shame on the 86 years old (Kharge) so called Dalit & tall leader of Khangress to talk so low of Prime Minister with choicest of abuses, reflecting his dalit breed need to be treated differently. His rising Sun is worse than his father, full of filthy mouth.
That is why they shall remain dalit & get rejected by society
AT 86 years, he should be worrying about his impending call from Lord Yamaraj and exit the world gracefully & think about next life, this greedy & insane man is aspiring for Chief Minister position and licking the feet & ass of 50 year old pappu. What a disgrace to this Tall leader
