Enhanced security measures at CM and Deputy CMs’ residences following Baba Siddique’s assassination
In response to the shocking murder of the NCP leaderBaba Siddique, security measures have been significantly intensified at the official residences of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar in the Malabar Hill area of south Mumbai. Police have been instructed to set up barriers at critical points throughout the neighborhood.
Siddique was shot dead on Saturday night by three assailants, two of whom have been arrested while a third remains at large. The suspects have been identified as Shiva, Dharmaraj, and Gurmel.
Dharmaraj hails from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, and Gurmel from Haryana. Reports indicate that Shiva is believed to have been contracted to carry out the murder.
NCP Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has publicly criticized the state government, stating that the responsibility for Siddique’s murder lies not only with Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis but also with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He pointed out the recent killing of NCP’s Byculla chief, highlighting a growing concern over contract killings in Mumbai. “This is a challenge for the Mumbai Police,” Bhujbal stated, calling for immediate action to investigate both murders.
He expressed his shock over Siddique’s death, emphasizing the urgency for the police to handle the investigations diligently. “A heartfelt tribute to Baba Siddique! I share in the grief of his family. We pray that they get the strength to overcome this pain,” he said.
Bhujbal also noted that Siddique had previously been granted Y-level security following threats to his life, questioning the effectiveness of these measures. He urged authorities to thoroughly investigate the sources of these threats and ensure that justice is served swiftly.
“The Maharashtra Police have a significant reputation that must not be tarnished. The accused should be punished as soon as possible, and the government should support the police in maintaining law and order,” Bhujbal added. He reiterated that political affiliations should not overshadow the urgent need for effective policing in the wake of rising violence.

It is well known that Sharad Pawar & its all breakaway factions have long history of sleeping & bedding with criminal + smuggling + filmi mafia & criminals. NO one is saint in this act, but TV media channels to unleash heaps of sorrow by parroting same news 24 x 7 for past 3 days..
NO sympathies to anyone. Also believe the family members of that dead person may not grieve as much as Indian TV media.
The only rejoicing person is Rajdeep Sardesai (shedding crocodile tears) – the stooge & media mouth of Sharad Paware
