Discussion on demand for grants for Health Ministry, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying slated for today in LS

On Friday, theLok Sabhais scheduled to discuss and vote on the demand for grants for theHealth and Family Welfare Ministry for the fiscal year 2024-25. Simultaneously, discussions and voting on the demand for grants for the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying are also planned for the day.

Union Health Minister J P Nadda will propose a motion in the Lower House for the election of a member to the Governing Council of North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, as per the listed agenda.

Additionally, Union MoS Arjun Ram Meghwal will deliver a statement concerning government business for the remaining part of the ongoing Lok Sabha session.

The Lok Sabha will discuss resolutions on regulating airfare by Congress MP Shafi Paramabil and on private financial companies by Shiv Sena MP Shrirang Barne. BJP MP Smita Uday Wagh will propose steps to include the Lower Tapti Project under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana.

In the Rajya Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will seek amendments to the Customs Tariff Act. MoS L Murugan will discuss ongoing Government Business. MoS Ravneet Singh will update on the Parliamentary Committee’s recommendations for food processing. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal will move for the election to the Rubber Board, and the Rajya Sabha will also debate the New and Renewable Energy Ministry’s performance.
