We are in a truth crisis
Media is not the ally of the enemy. Media is the enemy.
All rallies of the PM are telecast live by the media. So, media is present in full strength. The media was relaying the news of the upcoming address by the PM at the rally and showing shots of the crowd. It was raining, and still, the venue was packed with umbrellas up.
Still, when Congress leaders claimed poor attendance at the rally, no channel countered them with those visuals of the venue. They all had them. Still, they also hid them.
Media is also ultimately persons with families. Their children would have to live in the world their lies and the fake news would create. But the desperation of a career in an economy with few opportunities has blinded them. The economy itself is poor (getting poor in the west also) because of those for whom media lies and spreads fake news.
When we abandon the truth, life abandons us.
