Dhankhar learns the price of a loose tongue?
It was a total surprise that Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar announced his resignation at 9 pm on July 21. Dhankar was a controversial figure and was accused by the Opposition of being a pawn of the Modi government. The Vice President, who is also the Chairperson of Rajya Sabha, always played along with the government and always discarded the demands of the Opposition. The question is why such a government-favored person resigned all of a sudden, while having more than two years of service pending.
There is no doubt that Dhankar got out of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s good books, and the Prime Minister has asked him to resign on the evening of July 21. On July 21, when the Parliament Session started, there were a lack of bonhomie with the BJP leaders and Chairperson Dhankar. Dhankar cited health reasons for his surprise resignation, and no one believes the so-called health reasons
After 15 hours of Dhankar’s resignation, on July 22 afternoons, Prime Minister Modi came out with a very cold Tweet. “Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar Ji has got many opportunities to serve our country in various capacities, including as the Vice President of India. Wishing him good health,” said Modi on X.

This Tweet of Modi shows that he is very angry with Dhankar. See the wording: “Dhankhar Ji has got many opportunities to serve our country in various capacities, including as the Vice President of India…” Congress turned Socialist, then in many Janata-Janata Dal factions, and in early 2010, Dhankar landed in the BJP was always Modi’s man. He was just talking about what Modi wanted to say. How all of a sudden he suddenly get out of Modi’s good book. He was acting like a servant of the Prime Minister, sitting in the Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairperson’s seat.
Seems Modi got annoyed with his recent speeches. Recently, Dhankar was speaking against the government on the non-finalisation of the promised Minimum Support Price for farmers and the continuing protest of the farmers. Recently, at a public function, he raised this issue in front of the Agriculture Minister, raising farmers’ demands. On July 21 in Parliament, Dhankar declared that full debate on Operation Sindoor will be allowed, provoking BJP President JP Nadda.
At the end of the day, subservient Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar got out of the good books of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, just like a Master annoyed with his Servant and asked him to get out.

The farmer’s demands is a very convenient tool, a man at the level of VP, surely has access to the PM to discuss / understand the delay instead of going public with it, unless he has already been told to get lost. The farmer’s demands have been there even before the independence and meeting them has many aspects for long term sustainability, bearing in mind the priority of the defense sector and a man as senior as VP must know it. Is it possible that the ex-VP wants to participate in the Presidential Reference proceedings in SC, given his strong views on the subject ,which he could not have as a VP
