
CCTV captures late-night petrol bomb attack on Ranchi RSS office
Two unidentified men allegedly hurled petrol bombs at the RSS office in Ranchi late Tuesday night, triggering a police investigation and political reactions from the BJP.
CCTV footage shows the two suspects arriving near the office around 12:37 am. The men allegedly filled glass bottles with petrol, lit them and threw them towards the RSS office before fleeing the scene.
According to police, neither of the petrol bombs caused damage to the office premises. One landed near the boundary wall while the other failed to reach the compound. No injuries were reported.

Ranchi City SP Paras Rana said police teams and forensic experts reached the spot soon after the incident. Evidence has been collected and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the suspects.
Preliminary inquiries suggest two individuals were involved. Police are also examining reports of a possible local dispute in the area, though no official link has been established.
Several BJP leaders visited the RSS office after the incident. BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi condemned the attack and raised concerns over law and order in the state.
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla alleged that anti-RSS rhetoric may have contributed to a hostile atmosphere and demanded a detailed investigation into the incident.
Police said the probe is ongoing and all angles are being examined.
