PM Modi-led Yoga session at UN creates Guinness World Record

On Wednesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the 9th International Day of Yoga celebration at the UN headquarters which created a Guinness World Record for the participation of people of most nationalities.

The historic event led by PM Modi was attended by top UN officials, diplomats, and prominent personalities. Hollywood actor Richard Gere and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Csaba Korosi, were among some of the prominent personalities who joined PM Modi for the yoga session.

Some other personalities attending the yoga session include New York Mayor Eric Adams, UN Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed, Vala Afshar, who is the chief digital evangelist at Salesforce, American singer and actor Mary Millben, composer Ricky Kej and chef Vikas Khanna, among others.

Modi led the yoga session at the UN headquarters in New York, where he had reached on Tuesday as part of his three-day state visit to the US.
