
PM Modi’s sixth visit to Baba Kedarnath
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday embarked on a full-day visit to Uttarakhand as he arrived at the sacred Kedarnath Dham to perform darshan and puja at the temple. It is pertinent to mention that this is the Prime Minister’s sixth visit to Kedarnath since he took over the PM office. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Governor Gurmeet Singh, and other senior BJP leaders accompanied PM Modi.
PM Modi will inspect various ongoing development works and will also lay the foundation stones for some new connectivity projects worth over Rs.3,400 crore. He is set to lay the foundation stone of development works in the Garhwal region, including two ropeway projects connecting Gaurikund to Kedarnath and Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib and also road widening projects worth about Rs.1000 crore to increase the all-weather border road connectivity.
PM Modi had a free-wheeling interaction with shramjeevis working on development projects. He asked them about their native states, the benefits of govt welfare schemes & also enquired about their Covid vaccination status.
He also reviewed the progress of development works along Mandakini Asthapath and Saraswati Asthapath. He also visited the Adi Guru Shankaracharya Samadhi Sthal.
