BJP slams Congress leader for insulting PM Modi and voters

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi once again displayed his trademark immaturity and disregard for public decorum during a Mahagathbandhan rally in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where he launched a personal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi — claiming that the PM “can even dance for votes.”

Speaking alongside opposition leaders, including RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, Gandhi said, “If you tell Modi ji to do drama for votes, he would do. If you tell him that you would vote for him and ask him to come to the stage and dance, he would dance.”

The comment, seen as a crude attempt to mock the Prime Minister, drew sharp criticism from political observers and the BJP, who called Gandhi’s words “disrespectful” and “irresponsible.”

Gandhi went on to accuse Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of being a “face” with “remote control in BJP’s hands,” recycling the same old opposition narrative that has repeatedly failed to resonate with voters. He alleged that “three or four people control” the NDA government, claiming that BJP is “against social justice.”

BJP hits back: “Rahul Gandhi has insulted Bihar’s poor”

BJP leaders swiftly condemned Gandhi’s remarks, calling them an insult to the people of India — especially the poor and working class who have placed their trust in Modi’s leadership.

Party spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said on X, “Rahul Gandhi speaks like a local goon. He has openly insulted every poor Indian, and the voters of Bihar who support Modi ji. Rahul Gandhi has mocked voters and Indian democracy.”

Union Minister Giriraj Singh also slammed the Congress scion, saying, “The habit of dancing runs in Rahul Gandhi’s family. The people of Bihar will give them a befitting reply.” Singh reminded that Gandhi himself had been seen “dancing on a motorcycle” — suggesting hypocrisy in his criticism.

The BJP further pointed out that Gandhi’s outburst comes after weeks of political absence, with BJP leader Amit Malviya earlier highlighting that the Congress MP had been “missing for 59 days” amid crucial election season.

With assembly elections in Bihar scheduled for November 6 and 11, Rahul Gandhi’s reckless rhetoric appears to have backfired once again — exposing a lack of seriousness and leadership within the Congress ranks at a time when the opposition is struggling to project credibility.
