The Grandson of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Yadvinder Sandhu slammed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s photoshopped image showing him in jail between the images of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and B R Ambedkar.
Sandhu expressed anger on a photo showing Arvind Kejriwal hanging between portraits of Bhagat Singh and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Sandhu said, “This morning, a video of Sunita Kejriwal (wife of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal) came in which a photo of Arvind Kejriwal was put on the wall along with Bhagat Singh and Babasaheb Ambedkar.”
He added, “I felt awful after watching this. An attempt was made to compare him with the legends, I would ask the Aam Aadmi Party to refrain from such activities.”
During a digital briefing by Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal, the background had portraits of Bhagat Singh and BR Ambedkar, flanking a photograph of the Delhi chief minister in jail.
The image triggered a political row and the BJP accused AAP of “insulting” national heroes.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said the move has “shamed” Delhi. “By placing the picture of Arvind Kejriwal, accused of corruption between the portraits of great personalities, Sunita Kejriwal has ashamed the people of Delhi,” he said.
“Sunita Kejriwal has insulted Bhagat Singh and B R Ambedkar by using the photo of Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail for orchestrating the Delhi liquor scam, alongside the photos of the freedom fighter (Bhagat Singh) and constitution architect (B R Ambedkar). Arvind Kejriwal is accused of receiving kickbacks in the excise scam,” Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva added.

Unlike the Grandson of Shahid Bhagat Singh, the Grandson of Dr. Ambedkar is busy fighting and hating Modi in the august company of I.N.D.I. Where in the history of the world has the government was run from jail ? And the courts call it constitutional while the NJAC, EBs and CEC appointments were unconstitutional or the constitution was silent on it. One thing for sure unless the independent judiciery does something about it, possibility of a PM running the government from behind the bars is almost a given. Will it apply to Judges as well or are the rules different?
