As Tamil Nadu Sports and Youth Affairs minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin defends himself for the derogatory remarks he made on ‘Sanatan Dharma’, the BJP unit of TN will set to campaign extensively against his statement.

Udhayanidhi Stalin defended himself on his comments on Sanatana Dharma and said he wouldn’t be cowed down by saffron threats and was ready to face any legal challenge.

The BJP is to up its ante against the DMK family and the party is planning a nationwide campaign on this.

What did Udhayanidhi Stalin say:

Udhayanidhi, who is the son of Chief Minister M K Stalin, while addressing a meeting of Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Forum on Saturday said that “Sanatana Dharma has to be eradicated just like mosquitoes, malaria, dengue, and Corona”.

He also posted: “Bring it on, I am ready to face any legal challenge. We will not be cowed down by such usual saffron threats. We the followers of Periyar, Anna, and Kalaignar, would fight forever to uphold social justice and establish an egalitarian society under the able guidance of our honourable CM.”

Udhayanidhi also tagged his father and Chief Minister M K Stalin, and further said, “I will say it today, tomorrow and forever. Our resolve to stop Sanatana Dharma from the Dravidian land would not reduce even a bit.”

TN BJP head Annamalai hits back at Udhayanidhi

K Annamalai said that Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is a part of the I.N.D.I.A bloc was calling for genocide of the majority population in the country that believes in Sanatana Dharma. The BJP leader said that this would amount to “genocide of 80 percent of the population”.

In a post on X, the BJP state president said, “The only resolve of the Gopalapuram family is to accumulate wealth beyond the state’s GDP. Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, you and your father, or his or your ideologue have a bought-out idea from Christian missionaries and the idea of those missionaries was to cultivate dimwits like you to parrot their malicious ideology.”

Annamalai also said that Tamil Nadu was a land of spiritualism and the best the DMK would be able to do is to hold a Mic in an event and rant out frustration.

The BJP is also planning to make this a major campaign across the country over Udhayanidhi’s statement. The BJP has already asked questions as to whether the I.N.D.I.A front agreed upon this in their meeting in Mumbai.
