“Select Donors” Behind CJP? Mary Millben’s Claim Sparks Fresh Row
American singer Mary Millben has claimed that the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is being funded by “select donors” based in the United States. She made the claim on Wednesday in a post on X. It has drawn attention because it comes amid ongoing protests by the CJP and Opposition parties in Delhi.
What she said
Millben alleged that these donors follow a global pattern. In her words, they target conservative leaders around the world, find a person educated in the US, radicalise them, send them back home and fund them to start “chaos and destruction.”
Her post did not directly name CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who studied at Boston University in the US and became known online for his satirical take on the ruling BJP. Another version of the post did tag the party’s accounts.
To all the beautiful young patriots in India:
This is not the time to be silent. @abhijeet_dipke and the @Cockroachisback are being funded by donors in the U.S. who are against Prime Minister @NarendraModi and your future under his leadership. Do not fear, my young patriots. Your Prime Minister, who has served India for 25 years, 12 years as Prime Minister, elected three consecutive terms, is not going to bow to disruptive forces from my country.
And these select donors have a pattern globally – target conservative global leaders, find an U.S. educated person from the country, radicalize them, send them back to the country, and fund them to start chaos and destruction. None of them have been successful but have impacted the development and governance of the country.
It is time for a new voice in #India, born, raised, educated on the soil of India, to RISE UP, organize, and peacefully protest the disruptive spirit of the Cockroach Party. There should always be a counter movement to uphold democracy and freedom.
Rise up, young patriots! Rise up!

Call for a counter-movement
Millben also urged young Indians to organise peacefully against what she called the “disruptive spirit” of the CJP. She called for “a new voice in India, born, raised, educated on the soil of India,” to rise up. She also backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he would not bow to disruptive forces from the United States.
The backdrop
The claim comes as the CJP and Opposition parties press for the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. They cite alleged tampering with electoral rolls and concerns about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka have been sent to Tihar Jail in connection with the Jantar Mantar protest, after being accused of violating peace bonds.
Ruling-party leaders have also been questioning a legal defence fund of Rs 1 crore pledged for the CJP in connection with senior advocate Kapil Sibal. The CJP has reportedly denied the funding claims.
