Yogi accuses JMM-Cong-RJD of ‘land jihad’, ‘love jihad’ to alter Jharkhand’s demography
In a fiery address during his campaign in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath warned of the consequences of what he described as the unchecked “infiltration” from Bangladesh into the state.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a speech aimed at galvanizing support for the BJP ahead of Jharkhand’s upcoming elections, claimed that if the trend of demographic change continues unchecked, religious and cultural freedoms in the state could be under threat.
CM Yogi Adityanath said, “…The way infiltration from Bangladesh is being encouraged in Jharkhand if the demography keeps changing in this manner, then today they (Jharkhand government) are stopping the yatra and in the coming days, they will not allow the ringing of bells and conches in homes. That’s why there is a need to elect BJP and ‘Ek rahiye aur Nek rahiye‘…”

His remarks were aimed at highlighting what he perceives as a broader issue of religious and cultural identity being undermined in the state, calling it an urgent reason for voters to support the BJP.
Yogi Adityanath also launched a scathing attack on the JMM-Congress and RJD coalition government of Jharkhand, while addressing a massive crowd in Jamshedpur.
The UP CM said that the ruling government conspired to change the demography of the state through land jihad and love jihad.
He said that this government (coalition) has promoted land jihad and love jihad which has been made a part of the conspiracy to change the demography of Jharkhand.
“In this state, Bangladeshis and Rohingyas are infiltrating. The height of audacity is when they pelt stones on Maa Durga and Ramnavami processions during festivals. Before 2017, it used to happen in UP as well, but now there is no stone pelting on the procession because those who do so, face consequences,” he said.
As Jharkhand heads into its state elections, Yogi Adityanath’s words have set the tone for the BJP’s campaign, highlighting the party’s emphasis on cultural preservation and religious identity.
