Press Statement on June 19, 2016
[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]P[/dropcap]atriotic Indians who support good relations and strategic partnership with the Peoples Republic of China, urge the Chinese government to support India’s entry and full membership in the Nuclear Suppliers’ Group (NSG).
There may be an arguable case for Pakistan’s membership of NSG too, but since, as even the Chinese government cannot deny, the Pakistani civilian government barely exercises any political authority in the country therefore its case be held in abeyance till Pakistan regains its full authority. In fact the military, the ISI and Taliban today are terrorists complicit and have hegemony in Pakistan in all public spheres.
Therefore till the Pakistan civilian government recovers its political authority, the case of Pakistan may be kept in cold storage.
After India’s entry into NSG, I suggest that China and India could invite the Pakistan Prime Minister to a trilateral meeting and discuss how the world’s two most populated Asian nations through the SAARC could help the Pakistan Prime Minister regain sovereignty and political authority in Pakistan, and crackdown on terrorists groups.
