Not so surprising: Twitter suspends the handles that raised the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh

The question arises that even if there was some mistake with these Twitter handles, then why were they suspended?

Twitter suspends handles of ‘ISKCON Bangladesh’ & ‘Bangladesh Hindu Unity Council’

While the media is hiding the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, now the micro-blogging platform Twitter has suspended the handles of ‘ISKCON Bangladesh’ and ‘Bangladesh Hindu Unity Council’.

This has been done on the charge of spreading fake news. Both of them were bringing the news of atrocities and violent attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh to the world and demanding justice.

In a not-so-surprising move, Twitter has suspended handles that raised the plight of Hindus in Bangladesh. The handles had posted videos and news against the ongoing genocide of Hindus in Bangladesh.

Here the question arises that even if there was some mistake with these Twitter handles, then why were they suspended? Because even if their version may have been different from the Bangladesh government in a few incidents, but both these handles were presenting the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh in front of the world through pictures and videos. On one hand Muslim mob is harassing Hindu minorities, on the other hand Twitter is not allowing them to keep their word online.

The spate of atrocities started on October 13 in Cumilla district, which quickly spread to other parts of the country including Chandpur, Noakhali, Kishoreganj, Chittagong, Feni and Rangpur in Bangladesh.

A group of assailants vandalised at least 66 homes and torched 20 homes of Hindus in Bangladesh over an alleged blasphemous social media post. This comes amid outrage over incidents of around 70 temple vandalism incidences in the country.
