The Indians who live in Europe or North America retain their economic illiteracy all their lives in those countries also.
According to them, (in fact, this is the core Leftist/ Socialist claim which they have imbibed), a country like India is not providing European level healthcare not because it is poor, but because the government is not taxing the rich enough because it is controlled by the rich. That is, India, or the poor third world countries, are not poor, only their income is not being redistributed/ spent properly. If the humane people, that is, the Leftists, are given control of the government, India will have all the facilities like those in Europe.
What is a country?
A country is just a conglomerate of families/ individuals. Whatever is true of a family/ individual as far as income is concerned, is true of a country also. So, Mr. Mango man can not become rich like Mr. Ambani by spending his earnings differently so long as his earnings remain the same. In fact, for example for an employee, the employee’s earning will not become equal to the earning of his boss if he starts spending his earnings across various heads exactly the way his boss does. India will not have hospitals like Europe just by having the same proportion of its GDP spent on healthcare as Europe does.
But people want to be lied to. They just want to believe that when Kejriwal will tax Ambani properly, the entire increase in tax revenue will come to me and will not be distributed among the 135 crore people like me.
Unrealistic expectations
For example, the United Kingdom (UK) spends $300 billion on its healthcare which is free for all. But that is spent on a population of 6.6 crores! Having the same services for 135 crore people will require 20×300=6000 billion dollars expenditure, which is 6 trillion dollars. India’s GDP itself is 3 trillion dollars!
Looking at it in another way, UK’s GDP is 2830 billion dollars. It spends 300 billion of that on health, that is around 11%. It can’t spend more than this though NHS (National Health Service) is always gasping for funds because people need to be left money for food. They can’t be taxed into bankruptcy.
Even if we use the “feel good” purchasing power GDP for India, which is 8 trillion dollars, we can’t spend 6 trillion on health. If we spend the same percentage as Europe does, that is 11%, it will only give us 880 billion dollars. We need 6000 billion dollars. And PPP (Purchasing power parity) still remains only feel good. That is, in taxes, we will have only 3 trillion dollars to tax. 11% of that will be 330 billion dollars only.
So whatever way we tax our people, and whatever percentage of it we spend on health, we can never have European level healthcare till we have EUROPE LEVEL PER CAPITA INCOME. And we can never have European level per capita incomes till we have Europe like a free-market system of the economy.
Promises or White lies?
But people want to be lied to. They just want to believe that when Kejriwal will tax Ambani properly, the entire increase in tax revenue will come to me and will not be distributed among the 135 crore people like me. In reality, Mukesh Ambani‘s annual remuneration (salary) is Rs.40 crores. So, if his entire salary is taxed, each Indian will get Rs.0.29, that 29 naye paise. India has 140 billionaires. Assuming they all earn annual salaries the same as that of Ambani, and all of it is taxed, still, we will get only 140×0.29 Rs.40 (Rupees forty only) annually.
And with all their salaries taxed there won’t be any billionaires, nor any industries, nor any jobs, nor any taxes for the government.
Economics for dummies
Why do I waste so much time trying to teach the dumbos so much economics every day? Because the dumbos do fall for the Leftist thugs who promise to tax Ambani properly and spend the taxes properly giving the dumbs Europe like healthcare and lifestyle. The Leftists in power will destroy the country and my fate and the fate of my family and friends can not be different from the fate of the country. Apart from my love for my country and for my civilisation, the bare survival of my own and all those I hold dear and all those I call my fellow countryman requires that I tell simple truths to dumbs who though want to be lied to. Good people forget this simple fact of life: That their fate is in the hand of the dumb who is voting for the looting vote bank managers, so they better educate him. After all. each human being retains the capacity to know the self-interest, and the capacity to grasp the truth if the truth is made to reach him. That is why the thugs, charlatans, and looters who have ruled this country for the last 70 years take such great pains to silence, to shout down, the truth-tellers.
