The CJP founder later acknowledged that the person in the video was not Mishra, but criticism continued over the post

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has come under fire after sharing a video falsely claiming to show retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, the newly appointed first CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

The video showed a man recreating actor Bobby Deol‘s dance moves to the popular song Jamal Kudu. Dipke shared the clip on X while quoting another post that identified the person as Mishra. However, the person in the video was not the Ram Temple Trust CEO.

    Dipke issues clarification

After users pointed out that the video did not feature Mishra, Dipke acknowledged the error. He said he had been informed that the person shown in the video was not the retired Air Marshal.

Dipke maintained that his argument was not about an individual’s personal choices. Instead, he said he was attempting to highlight what he described as hypocrisy in the way people’s personal behaviour is judged depending on their position or identity.

The clarification, however, did little to stop the criticism on social media. Several users questioned why the video had been shared without verification and criticised Dipke for continuing to leave the original post online.

False claim spreads amid Ram Temple Trust changes

The controversy comes shortly after the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust appointed Air Marshal (Retd) Jeetendra Mishra as its first CEO. Mishra, a former senior Indian Air Force officer, has been tasked with overseeing the administration of the Ram Temple trust.

The incident has once again highlighted the risks of sharing unverified social media content, particularly when it involves public figures and sensitive religious institutions.
