The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court is set to hear a petition seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged financial irregularities in donations received for the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The plea raises concerns over the handling and utilisation of funds collected for the temple project and seeks an independent investigation into the allegations.
According to the petitioner, the matter involves questions surrounding the management of donations and financial transparency, warranting a probe by the CBI to ensure accountability.
The petition has reportedly sought directions from the High Court for a thorough investigation into the alleged irregularities and appropriate action if any wrongdoing is established.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which oversees the construction and administration of the Ram Temple, has previously maintained that all financial transactions are carried out in accordance with established procedures and applicable laws.
