
YSRCP MLA Sivakumar slaps voter, brawl breaks out during phase 4 voting in Guntur
Amid the ongoing polling for phase four, in Andhra Pradesh‘s Guntur, YSRCP MLA V S Sivakumar was seen engaging in a scuffle with a voter reportedly over the latter jumping the queue at a polling station.
The video of the YSRCP MLA has gone viral, in which he can be seen heading towards a voter while having a heated discussion. Sivakumar was further seen slapping the voter.
However, the voter gave it back to Sivakumar. On seeing the voter retaliate to Sivakumar, his supporters also joined the scuffle. They thrashed the voter.
BJP slammed the YSRCP leader’s action questioning him, ‘do you have respect for democracy’.
Condemning the incident BJP spokesperson, Shehzad Poonawalla called the action of the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s party MLA as “arrogance & goondagardi”.
Posting the video on the social media platform X, Shehzad Poonawalla wrote, “VVIP arrogance & goondagardi on full display. YSRCP MLA A Sivakumar slaps voter in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur. Telangana Congress neta kicks voter. Congress’ Randeep Surjewala once said Janta is Rakshas! If this is how they are treating voters at the polling booth, imagine what they will do post-election. Time to kick these parties and netas out!”
