
Quarrel between couple turns tragic as stone hits 4-year-old son in Anantapur
A domestic quarrel between a couple in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district turned fatal after a stone thrown during the altercation accidentally struck their four-year-old son, killing him, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place at the family’s residence in Lakshyam Palli village, where M Maheshwari and her husband, M Ramesh, reportedly got into a physical fight.
According to police, the child was hit on the head by a stone allegedly thrown by his father during the quarrel.
“The four-year-old boy died after a stone thrown by his father during a quarrel with his wife accidentally hit him on the head,” Anantapur district Assistant Superintendent of Police Rohit Kumar Chowdhary told PTI.
The child sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed during treatment.
Police have registered a case under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Further investigation is underway.
