Are Hindus children of a lesser God in God’s own country?

Addressing Sunday’s Ayyappa Bhaktha Sangamam at Thiruvananthapuram organised by the Sabarimala Action Committee many prominent Hindus expressed concern over the security of Hindus

It is time for the central leadership to weed out dead wood from the party.

The Sabarimala Temple’s 2018-2019 festival season came to an end on Makarasankranthi Day. Despite efforts by the Marxists and some police officers who act as their servile, not a single woman devotee in the age group of 10-50 visited the temple on their own. All that the government of Pinarayi Vijayan had to show the world was the picture of Kanaka Durga and Bindu Ammini, two women activists entering the shrine escorted by armed police guards. But the life of these two women underwent drastic changes with the incident.

Despite efforts by the Marxists and some police officers who act as their servile, not a single woman devotee in the age group of 10-50 visited the temple on their own.

Kanaka Durga, hailing from a Marxist family at Malappuram was declared a persona non-grata by her own mother as well as the husband when she tried to enter their houses. When she went back to the house of her husband Krishnan Unni, there was total riot about which PGurus had reported earlier. Ayyappa Samgaman saw her brother Bharat Bhooshan coming to the stage and declaring that the family had disowned her till she apologises to the nation for violating the tradition at Sabarimala.

More than four lakh devotees from the southern districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta had turned up for the Sangamam.

Kadakampalli Surendran, the Kerala Minister for Devaswam, told the reporters that hundreds of women had entered the temple. But his claims fell flat as the list of 51 women submitted by the Marxist government to the Supreme Court turned out to be fake and false. Mata Amrithanandamayi Devi, the hugging saint of Vallikkavu near Kollam threw to wind all niceties and joined hands with the Ayyappa devotees all over the world by making an appearance at the Sangamam. “A temple where traditions and customs are violated is like a kite flying haywire without any control. It ceases to be a temple once the customs and traditions are violated,” said the Matha while addressing the gathering. Interestingly, the CPI-M secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan met her at the Ashram a day before the Sangamam and tried his best to persuade her from not attending the Sangamam.

More than four lakh devotees from the southern districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Pathanamthitta had turned up for the Sangamam. Though the BJP leaders were conspicuous by their absence, the Sangamam was a message to the Hindutva party that the Hindus in the State were ready to be with them. It is for the BJP to take the lead and work for harvesting the crops. For that to happen, the Kerala BJP has to make a lot of revolutionary changes from its present style of work.

BJP’s prospects in Kerala

Other than P Sreedharan Pillai and K Surendran, there are no winnable candidates in Kerala BJP as of today. The central leadership of the party should field personalities like T G Mohandas, K P Sasikala, Dr. Senkumar, G Madhavan Nair (former ISRO chairman), Suresh Gopi, Ali Akbar, Tushar Vellappilly, Raman Pillai and Prayar Gopalakrishnan (both former presidents of the Travancore Devaswam Board)  for the upcoming election. It is time for the central leadership to weed out dead wood from the party. There are many elements in the Kerala BJP who are incapable of winning even a Panchayat election and this is the right time for the party to begin the cleaning process.

  1. I had a talk with a neighbour who is residing in Kerala just before state elections… I had asked her then if BJP would win ..she said no … It’s always with cpi or congress people stick to… I was wondering then why were people not interested in BJP
But now recently I got to see her and she was telling when people are trying to destroy Sanatan dharma we should stand united and try to safeguard it….
    Now I understand sabarimala Leela…of Ayyappan…
    நடப்பதெல்லாம் நன்மைக்கே….
