Delhi Government teachers association slams Delhi CM for its false statement

To rebut Arvind Kejriwal’s claims about providing assistance to Kashmiri Pandits, the Government Teachers Association issued a press release and many netizens shared a screenshot of a 2015 article in which the Delhi government had ostensibly argued that those who were contractual teachers couldn’t be made regular under the terms of a Supreme Court justice.

While in an interview, Kejriwal claimed that 233 Kashmiri Pandits joined the Delhi government as contract teachers in 1993 and that the AAP government made “them permanent”.

Dy CM Manish Sisodia said that “BJP is worried for Kashmir Files but not Kashmiri Pandits. CM Kejriwal did a lot for Kashmiri Pandits, granted permanent status to 223 teachers even in absence of documents, streamlined pension system, provided Rs.3000/head per month to Kashmiri Pandits in Delhi.”

AS soon as Kejriwal claimed to help the Kashmiri migrant teachers, the Government School Teachers Association issued a Press Release in which they condemned Kejriwal’s fake claims.

The letter read, “We strongly condemn the statement given by the Delhi CM that it was Delhi Government who regularised the services of Kashmiri Migrant Teachers- referred to as KMT here on.”

The press release noted down the chain of events in which on June 6, 2010, the KMT approached the Delhi High Court, and on May 18, 2015, Single Bench delivered the judgment in favour of KMT by regularising their services.

The same judgment was challenged in the Double Bench of Hon’ble High Court by the Delhi government. denying the regularisation of KMT, following which, on May 21, 2018, Double Bench in its verdict, directed the Delhi Govt. To regularise the services of KMT.

The Press Release pointed out the irony that despite repeated assurances by the Delhi government to regularise the services of KMT as per the directions of the Hon’ble High Court, the decision was again challenged it in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

On October 26, 2018, the Hon’ble Supreme Court dismissed the petition of the Delhi government and upheld the judgment delivered by the Hon’ble High Court, said the Press Release.

After no option left, the Delhi government regularises KMT dated 21st May 2018.

The letter also pointed out that the series of events clearly indicate that the Delhi Government was never interested in regularising the services of KMT. In fact, the Delhi Government opposed the regularisation till the very end.

Exposing lies by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Executive Editor for TV9, Aditya Raj Kaul tweeted, “Delhi High Court in 2018 forced Delhi Govt led by Arvind Kejriwal to regularise Kashmiri Pandit “migrant” teachers. I spoke to the teachers who say Delhi Govt was reluctant and delaying the implementation forcing victim Hindus into a long legal battle. Court Order copy attached.”

He further tweeted, “Received this WhatsApp from a Delhi Govt Kashmiri Pandit “migrant” teacher calling out false statement of Delhi Government falsely claiming credit for helping victim Kashmiri Hindu teachers. Who opposed the regularisation of Kashmiri Pandit teachers? Kejriwal.”

Political Commentator and Columnist, Sunanda Vashisht tweeted, “Kejriwal was lying. This case was in public domain. We all knew how AAP had opposed benefits to KH teachers. All it needed was a Google search.”

President of the BJP’s youth wing, Tejasvi Surya shared a screenshot of the news on KMT saying, “Arvind Kejriwal is a blatant lier (sic). It was not his government that regularised the service of the Kashmiri Pandit contractual teachers teaching in Delhi schools.”
