The recent arrests of the five Islamist guerrillas substantiate the charges that Tamil Nadu has become a safe haven for Islamic terrorists, Maoists and secessionists.

Intervention by the central intelligence agencies saved the lives of two prominent Hindu leaders in Tamil Nadu from the swords of Islamic terrorists. Tamil Nadu Police arrested on Saturday (September 1) five Islamic terrorists from Coimbatore Railway Station. Four of them, with links to various terrorist organizations in Jammu & Kashmir and even IS had come to Coimbatore with a mission to murder Arjun Sampath, leader of Hindu Makkal Katchi, a socio-political outfit and his son Omkar Balaji.

Popular Front of India, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) are the two lead organizations in Tamil Nadu acting as recruiting agents for various Islamist terrorist organizations.

Jafar Sadiq Ali (29) from Chennai’s Vysarpadi, Ismail (24) of Tindivanam, Samsuddeen (20)  and Salavuddeen (25) of Pallavaram had reached Coimbatore to execute their plan to get rid of Arjun Sampath and his son, both vocal in their opposition to terrorism and extremism of all kinds. Sampath was in the news because of the Ghar Wapsi programme organized by him in Tamil Nadu to welcome back the Dalits who had got converted into Islam and Christianity during the UPA and DMK era.

The police on Wednesday (September 5) arrested S Faizal (25), an autorickshaw driver in the city following the disclosures made by those whom they had arrested earlier from the railway station. They are on the lookout for Anwar, a youth from the Kaniyamuthur area. Sources in the team of cops told PGurus that all those arrested in this connection had links with ISIS.

The attempt to murder Arjun Sampath and his son is not a new incident. The Islamist organizations have been tracking Sampath and his family for quite some time now. There are many attempts in the past to murder the leader of the Hindu Makkal Katchi but he had survived all of them.

The recent arrests of the five Islamist guerrillas substantiate the charge made by Pon Radhakrishnan, Union Minister of State for Shipping & Finance that Tamil Nadu has become a safe haven for not only Islamic terrorists but even Maoists as well as secessionists.  “I am speaking as a responsible member of the union council of ministers. I am bound by oath and hence I am not able to reveal more than this. Tamil Nadu has fast emerged as a safe haven for terrorists with international links. The lives of many Hindu activists are under threat,” Radhakrishnan had told Team PGurus in a recent media interaction.

Ashik (25) of Coimbatore had gone to the railway station to receive the four “would be assassins” from Chennai and to act as their local liaison officer, said a police officer who was in the team that arrested the five. The inputs about the movements of the four Islamic youths were provided by the Intelligence Bureau officials who were tracking them for quite some time. Arjun Sampath was always in the hit list of the Islamic terrorists. There were many attempts by the Islamic terrorists to murder him in the past.

He had a providential escape in 2013 when terrorists hurled petrol bombs at his residence in Coimbatore. Though the police had claimed at that time that perpetrators would be brought to book, nothing happened. The National Investigation Agency, which is probing the murder of Hindu Munnani leader Sasikumar (who was murdered by Islami terrorists in September 2016 at Coimbatore) had filed charge sheets against activists of Popular Front of India, a terrorist organization specialized in selectively murdering leaders of Hindu activists in Tamil Nadu. Popular Front of India, along with Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) are the two lead organizations in Tamil Nadu acting as recruiting agents for various Islamist terrorist organizations in the rest of the country as well as IS.

Coimbatore based National Confederation of Human Rights Organisations, have come out in the open challenging the move by National Investigation Agency to arrest Shajahan and his son Mohammed Rafikul Hassan in the murder of Hindu Munnani’s Sasikumar.

In what could be a shocking revelation, an intelligence official of Tamil Nadu told Team PGurus that the website of ISIS is administered and managed by terrorists from Cuddalore in the State. Dalit leader Thol Thirumavalavan and Nam Katchi leader Sebastian Francis Seeman have an understanding with organizations like PFI, SDPI and even LeT to help them pinpoint various Hindu leaders whom they find inconvenient in their political journey.

Thirumavalavan has been campaigning openly for the conversion of Dalits to the Islam religion. He is in the process of finalizing his Ph.D. Thesis. The focus of his research being the advantages the Dalits get by converting to Islam.

The life of H Raja, National Secretary of the BJP is also under threat. There were many attempts on his life too but the Tamil Nadu Police, which has many Islamist elements are yet to figure out the forces behind the plans to murder Raja.

Officials in Tamil Nadu Police, as well as central home ministry, pointed out that the tenure of M Karunanidhi during 2006 to 2011 saw many Islamist terrorists getting recruited into the police force and they succeeded in infiltrating the State Intelligence and special branches. The Crime Branch-CID of Tamil Nadu Police which was once compared to Scotland Yard in crime investigation and detection has mysteriously failed to take into custody any of the Islamist terrorists and Maoists operating in the State with impunity.

In a surprise move, Coimbatore based National Confederation of Human Rights Organisations, an outfit funded by Islamist and Churches have come out in the open challenging the move by National Investigation Agency to arrest Shajahan and his son Mohammed Rafikul Hassan in the murder of Hindu Munnani’s Sasikumar. The father-son duo is based in Coimbatore and are business barons with links to various Islam organizations.
