[dropcap color=”#008040″ boxed=”yes” boxed_radius=”8px” class=”” id=””]S[/dropcap]upreme Court’s verdict on reviving the criminal conspiracy charges against veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and others is another instance of ineptitude of Modi Government’s legal team. The current Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has appeared in a few Ram Mandir related cases. He could have acted to withdraw this case or directed the Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi and his team to withdraw or change its stand in the Court after coming to power. After all the BJP Government had declared its commitment for construction of Ram Mandir in their manifesto. Did the legal eagles in BJP and Government not see red when Kapil Sibal entered the case as the Advocate of the now deceased intervener Haji Mahmoud Ahmed? And what about Mr. Jaitley who in this government is acknowledged to be the final word in the legal affairs of this government? How did all these legal eagles let this one slip?
Two FIRs were filed in the case.
This is the timeline of the case filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in 1992 after Babri Masjid demolition:

The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government had filed the cases in November 2004 obviously for political reasons and filed an appeal in Allahabad High Court and lost the case in May 2010. And this miniscule group of 44 say that the current government “seeks vendetta”. Clearly they don’t look at themselves in the mirror. In February 2011 CBI under UPA Government approaches Supreme Court against the HC’s decision ratifying the decision of the trial court.
It is a well known fact that Babri Masjid demolition and creation of Ram Mandir movement is not a conspiracy.
The people in government and in the BJP party who are now in power should always remember that they reached this level only due to the Rath Yatra and Ram Mandir movement led by Advani, Joshi and Ashok Singhal.
If CBI (read Government) can take a stand on not filing appeal against the trial court’s discharge of Amit Shah from the dubious cases initiated by the Congress government, why did they not withdraw the appeal in Babri case in the Supreme Court? Was this sloppiness deliberate? After all, the Home Ministry and the National Investigation Agency have changed their positions in court on Congress manufactured cases in the so called Hindu Terror episode.
It is a well known fact that Babri Masjid demolition and creation of Ram Mandir movement is not a conspiracy. It is a spirit of Hindu Nationalism and this Hindu Nationalism energised by Advani, Joshi and Singhal has made BJP what it is today.
The current leadership was mentored by Advani and this is not the way to repay him. For all his quirks, L K Advani is the main reason the BJP is what it is today. The country can ill afford the contretemps of its legal team. It is time for Narendra Modi to revamp his so called legal eagles who seem to be able to snatch defeat often, from the jaws of victory.

This is just proof that the BJP/RSS has no interest in Hindutva, Ram Mandir etc….They will of course do the temple visits and the cow protection drama that will win them votes, nothing more – they are absolutely not committed to anything related to Hindutva beyond votes.
It is only for the Media who are hungry for news..will be forgotten when new one came up..The so called secular are stumped by the move of the Center…not opposing it..wait and watch the game and it is a trap for seculars..
I doubt if it is a ‘goof up’ . It is a deliberate ploy by Modi admin to rule like IG with absolute power and destroy any dissent. Modi CBI is quiet on LAllu, PC, son, Sonia, Vadra, Rahul, YSJ etc, but goes after LKA, MMJ and others.
Make people wonder if Modi is power hungry and ungrateful.

It’s not clear how the incumbent AG , in spite of several “goof ups” in the past, with this Babri as climax still continuing. Mr.Advani, Mr.Joshi and all others deserve etter treatment in Babri case.
