BJP becomes a parking spot for corrupt leaders
The ruling party BJP which came to power through anti-corruption movements from 2011 has now turned into a parking area for many corrupt leaders from other parties. Be it controversial mining barons from Bellary, Coal scam accused Naveen Jindal, or corruption charges facing former Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel. The names of corrupt leaders facing charges of CBI and ED who later joined BJP or NDA are endless with blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and architect of wheels and deals Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
BJP has created shock waves to Right Wing supporters by placing former Mumbai Congress President Kripa Shankar Singh as its candidate from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh. Kripa Shankar who was former Minister of State for Home in Maharashtra was embroiled in many corruption charges and was termed by many BJP leaders publicly as “Dakku (Robber) Kripa Shankar”. In 2008, he was the front runner in terming RSS as a terrorist organization and accused it of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack. In 2022, Kripa joined the BJP and became a BJP candidate in 2004 from Uttar Pradesh.[1]
Congress leader and industrialist Naveen Jindal and his firms were caught in a coal scam and now BJP also embraced him and made him a candidate from Kurukshetra constituency from Haryana.
A few days back Amit Shah was seen blessing Bellary’s controversial mining baron Janardhana Reddy back in BJP. Reddy is facing around six corruption cases by the CBI currently. CBI has recently closed Air India plane leasing cases against former Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, who has now an ally of the BJP for the past six months. Chhagan Bhujbal from NCP was in jail in a case registered by the Enforcement Directorate and has now been saved from all cases and became Minister in Maharashtra after joining BJP’s alliance.
NCP was termed as National Corruption Party by Prime Minister Modi and he within a few months awarded Padma Vibhushan to NCP supremo Sharad Pawar. These things expose the fake attitude and unholy relations of Modi with corrupt leaders.

50 alleged corrupt leader have joined BJP, Who have no more nuisance value in the elections. Once in the BJP fold they are unlikely to get a chance to continue to be corrupt. The BJP does not need their support, but can do without opposition to get to the required result. These great leader are not being put through washing machine but are being kept in the cold storage for the time being and do not be surprised if they are seen in the grinder in days to come.
They joined BJP, but it has NOT given any protection, but for a stern message to reform that corrupt should mend their ways. BJP must have taken a confession list from them, so that they do not go tangent at later date after getting some “bull horns”
