Did cries for help go unheard? CCTV clip revives Jaipur school tragedy
Fresh CCTV footage released by the family of a nine-year-old Class 4 student who allegedly died by suicide at a private school in Jaipur has reignited the case, with the girl’s parents claiming it captures repeated bullying and a desperate but unanswered plea for help from teachers moments before her death. The footage has intensified demands for accountability nearly eight months after the tragedy.
According to the family, the child appeared cheerful when she entered the classroom, greeted her classmates and even participated in a dance activity. However, they allege that the video later shows her being repeatedly bullied by fellow students before she approached her teachers for help. The parents claim no meaningful intervention followed.

Family says child’s cries for help went unanswered
The girl’s family alleges that the CCTV footage shows her approaching teachers multiple times after being harassed by classmates. They claim the teachers failed to address the situation or provide emotional support despite visible signs of distress.
The child later allegedly jumped from the school building, an incident that shocked the country and raised difficult questions about student safety, bullying and the responsibility of educational institutions.
Chargesheet filed, investigation continues
Rajasthan Police have since filed a chargesheet in the case, and the investigation is continuing. The newly surfaced CCTV footage has become a key focus as the family seeks accountability from the school and those responsible for the child’s welfare.
The school has not publicly responded to the latest allegations surrounding the CCTV footage. Authorities are expected to examine whether the video adds new evidence to the ongoing legal proceedings.
