Swamy opine India should adopt a tough stand against China
The Member of Parliament, Dr. Subramanian Swamy opined that the Government of India should adopt a tough stand against China.
While talking to the reporters Swamy said, “The Government of India is too soft to China and should be tough. I had met (Defence Minister) Rajnath Singh and told him so. I said this to people in the Sangh Parivar as well.”
He insisted the Chinese should be “uprooted” from Ladakh.
“We pushed them back in the past and we can do it again. The Prime Minister has not taken China’s name so far but he should speak openly. China is an aggressor and it should be taught a lesson. In their words, they should be shown the red eyes,” Swamy said.
He commented after the MEA issued a statement saying that China has undertaken construction activities in the past several yrs along with the border areas, including the areas that it has illegally occupied over decades. India has neither accepted such illegal occupation of our territory nor has it accepted the unjustified Chinese claims.
The statement further said, “Govt has always conveyed strong protest to such activities via diplomatic means & will continue to do so in future. Govt has also stepped up border infrastructure, including the construction of roads, bridges which have provided much-needed connectivity to local population along border.”
Earlier today, Swamy tweeted, “Assam has become a frontier state in our defence especially since Arunachal and other NE states cannot fight Chinese alone. Therefore Assam must get maximum resources from Centre. Ministers such as Rajnath and Gadkari should visit the state once a fortnight.”

In an interview with New Indian Express in January, Swamy said India needed to demonstrate the will to oust the Chinese who “occupied” Indian territory. He also claimed the PLA is vastly overestimated.
He had said earlier that China is a dangerous threat to India. Therefore, India has to be able to work out its strategy in such a way that it meets the threat and finally, puts China in its place.
